2) The doors are poorly made, the edges of the laminate start to come loose and whole edges of laminate will start to fall off after a couple of years. Everybody treats everybody around here like their friend. Our management has cook outs for us. It’s just all around a good company to work for. The hours, the time we come in, the time we get off. I still have time to do things in the afternoon and in today’s economy, you want to have a job you know is going to be there. They are not getting ready to go out of business.
Here they treat you like family. I’ve been in other industries and I would never leave Home Depot, because I love the working environment. I love my fellow peers and my management team. They’re wonderful people to work with. Right now, I’m a cashier part time and I love it, because I love working with the customers.

Merchandising is a very physical job. By the end of the day, I’ve usually walked about seven to eight miles. Your focus is making sure the products have a label, they’re clean, they’re stocked, just that everything looks, what they call, grand opening ready.

I do love working for The Home Depot, because I just think it’s a wonderful place to work. I love the bonding, co-workers, and most of all I like the advancement that the company has. It’s challenging, but that’s a good thing if that makes sense, because there’s a lot going on. You’re not just doing one thing, you’re doing several things at one time.
You have a store of people that are willing to help you accomplish your goal. Because it’s like one big family. When I started working here, I thought it was going to be like any other job, where they just like okay you are just another worker, but not here.
The Measure Technician works independently in a traveling field role in support of Home Depot’s Measurement Services center. I've gotta say, I loved the way they look. I did my kitchen using Perry Street cabinets in gray with the gray wood grain looking doors, and I was initially thrilled with the results. 1) The edges of the shelves inside the cabinets are very sharp corners. Running your hand along one while lifting things out or putting away dishes, it is easy to cut yourself. If you whack your head on one, you will definitely have a gash there.
